Hi,

I am using Windows 10 Home Edition on my personal laptop. For the past few months I am facing this particular issue. The Network icon shows I am not connected, were as I am able to access the internet.

The same issue is occuring when i connect with my mobile hotspot too. I have tried all the solutions provided in the old posts. But it was not successful.

Provide a solution to fix this issue as i could not able to connect to ther microsoft services.

TIA

Srini

Thanks for the screenshot. No problem.

Don't forget to check the comments.

You shared a screenshot of the adapters in Device Manager, but I asked for a screenshot of the adapters listed in the Control Panel. Some adapters may appear there that aren't visible in Device Manager.

    • Press "Windows + R", type ncpa.cpl and press Enter.

A window will open with the network adapters installed on the system. Share a screenshot of this window.

    I await your reply.

    Thanks for the screenshot.

It only has the Wi-Fi adapter. So, it's not another adapter causing any kind of conflict.

Create a new local account with administrator privileges.

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/manage-user-accounts-in-windows-104dc19f-6430-4b49-6a2b-e4dbd1dcdf32#WindowsVersion=Windows_11

To add the new user, follow the instructions in "Add a user account". Create the user without a Microsoft account.

To give administrator privileges to the new user, follow the instructions in "Configure a user as an administrator".

Then, log out of the current user and log in to the new user. On the new user, see if the network icon will work as expected.

    Let me know the result.
