Try grabbing the corner of the window to see if that's easier to grab than the edge.
Why is it so difficult to resize App windows?? I want to grab the border of an app and there's an impossibly tiny edge that allows grabbing. Is there anyway to fix this?
I want to grab the border of an app in order to resize it and there's an impossibly tiny edge that allows grabbing. I often-times end up clicking on what is behind the app instead of the app edge. Is there any way to fix this?

2024-07-31T20:21:42+00:00 I use a Windows 10 system. Even though the border of the app might be 1 or 2 pixels, that's not relevant. When the mouse is 'close' to the the app's border, the double-headed resize indicator appears. The indicator is much wider than 1 or 2 pixels. When that indicator is there, drag left or right to change the size of the app. I have no problems at all in Windows 10. On the other hand, my wife uses a Windows 11 system, and sometimes I use her system to test Windows 11. I have found that on her Windows 11, doing anything there, is very unstable. All sorts of things keep jumping about, when attempting to maximize, restore, minimize, resize, move etc. I have not fully investigated this. So, could it be a problem with Windows 11? Especially, attempting to move an app out of the way, it tends to maximize itself.

2024-10-08T08:26:40+00:00 Agree with this thread completely. The edges of windows are no longer rendered with a visible draggable bar as they used to be in versions prior to Windows 10. The result seems to be there is some code that 'guesses' where the mouse is in relation to the window border, and activates the double-ended arrow and associated window resize function. The problem is that this 'guess' is 95% of the time nowhere near where you'd expect and you therefore have to have a fight with the window, often actually having to move it around, in order to resize it to your preference. This is made even worse by the fact that Windows STILL, after nearly 30 years, cannot remember window size and position between logins.
PLEASE MICROSOFT - employ an engineering genius who's entire purpose is to just fix this window management stuff once and for all!

2024-11-09T13:47:40+00:00 I'm adding my name to the list. This is crazy! I am currently forced to use a Windows computer and came to the realization, since I finished my studies in computer science 10 years ago or so. Windows is still the same. Not a dime better than back then. This is just insane... Wasted hours now to find a fix for this... Anyways, and it won't help but please MS, get your stuff together and make progress...

This is the only reasonable solution I found,
ALT+Right click to resize. and many more features.
