Business value
Users need to see more or fewer bookings in their views and control how much time they view. Sometimes they want to see the big picture of how their resources’ days or weeks are structured. Other times, they need to dive into the details. A more intuitive zoom control lets dispatchers work more effectively and efficiently.
Feature details
There are three major enhancements to zoom behavior on the schedule board:
- Zooming pivots around the user's cursor location instead of the current time. This change lets users zoom in and out without going back and forth on the timeline.
- Zooming in and out uses more natural sensitivity and bounds, which reduces the likelihood of accidentally zooming too far out or in.
- The time scale slider uses legible labels that show the time range currently displayed on the board instead of a pixel count.
