One Drive // File Explorer // Missing 'copy link' button

In my OneDrive file explorer I used to be able to right-click on a file and select 'copy link' to then send that link in emails and now the option seems to be gone. When I click 'share' it gives me the option to share it with other users, but I don't want to share it with anyone, I want to be able to copy the link into my own documents to be able to click on it and have the file open from there.

    Hi @Trish Bauer,

In this case, we recommend that you proceed as follows: Please reset OneDrive by following the steps provided in the link below:

    Reset OneDrive - Microsoft Support

Resetting OneDrive may help restore missing features, including the "Copy link" button in File Explorer.

I have the same problem. The Option to copy a link to a file or folder is gone suddenly. Otherwise onedrive is working.

Resetting onedrive cant't be really an option, because:

    1. I loose all my connections to different sharepoint-locations. Starting the sync again is really a mess in onedrive
    2. It's time consuming without any garanty that it will get back the option to copy the link.

Please provide a better solution for that.
