How do I add conditional questions to a Microsoft Access Form?

I have no experience with database design or coding at all and I'm trying to teach myself Access in order to keep track of all my art.

I want to design the form so that, if the yes/no box for "fanart" is checked, a new field appears, prompting the user to enter the source material. If it's unchecked, the field stays hidden and the source material field in my database stays empty. How do I do that?

    I agree with George that you should make sure your table design is in good shape before design forms. If you want to post your relations window we can critique it for you.

    I do have a question specific to your question. Is the Source Material dependent on whether its fan art? Or can a different category of art have Source Material?

    Your question brings me back to a database I developed 24 years ago for my employer at the time. We had several pieces of artwork in our offices, including an original Andy Warhol. I completed this database in August of 2011. I mention this because a few weeks after I completed it, on 9/11 the artwork was all destroyed in the collapse of the WTC (our offices were on floors 49-51 of the South Tower). We were able to submit that database to our insurers and fully recovered the appraised value of the artwork.
