Deleting certain Office applications

There are several applications that I do not use. Can I just drag them to the Trash? I would not want the action to mess up the Update application because it could not find all the applications that need to be updated.

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

It is not possible to uninstall specific applications from an Office installation, they are all installed by default and they are inter-dependent, the only thing you can do is to delete the icons for the applications you do not use

I am Sorry Dave but I … don’t quite understand what you are saying. What do you mean “…delete the icons .. ?”

Hi Willaim, Which or what applications are you referring to? You can uninstall many applications if you go to Control Panel>Programs>Programs and Features>Right click on any application>Choose>Uninstall.

Office with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc come as a package, so it is uninstall Office or nothing. However, you can delete or remove (unpin) the shortcuts to the Application, no problem.

    Hello Ron,

My Office applications are separate standalone. I don’t know if this is simply a function of the Mac version or not.
