Help! I cannot edit nor add new new section groups, as when I try, an error that says OneNote cannot sync due to insufficient storage, where in fact I have only used 20% of my 1TB OneDrive allocation.

If clearing the cache was unsuccessful, maybe a single corrupted section within your notebook on the OneDrive server, which is causing the misleading out of storage error. To fix this, you must isolate the faulty section. create a new, blank notebook in OneNote, then systematically rightclick each section from your original notebook and use the copy function not move function to transfer them one by one into the new notebook. When the sync error appears on the new notebook, it will be the corrupted section. Fix the problem by manually creating a new, clean section in your original notebook, copying the content from the pages of the corrupted section over, and finally deleting the old, faulty section to permanently resolve the sync issue
