Introduction
Reading Coach extends the core functionality of Reading Progress, one of the Microsoft Learning Accelerators, for individual practice—now outside of Teams. Reading Coach empowers learners to close the foundational gaps in their reading through personalized, consistent, highly engaging, and adaptive practice, at any time and on any device.
Learners, educators, and family members can use this innovative blend of AI and expert-guided best practices to create magical and interesting stories. Learners can also choose to read a passage from a library of curated, Lexile-leveled passages from ReadWorks, add their own content to read, and get coached on challenging words. Reading Coach is powered by Immersive Reader, a fully accessible digital reading experience that makes reading comfortable for readers of all abilities.
In Reading Coach, learners practice reading their stories in a safe, supportive, and confidence-building digital environment. Reading Coach entices learners to consistently return to reading in the app and foster a love of reading while providing supportive coaching where needed, adapting for every learner.
