Running the test
Before you run the test, complete the test setup as described in the test requirements: Mouse or other Pointing Device Testing Prerequisites.
If the touchpad surface is at all above the surrounding casing of the touchpad, press F fail the test. Else, move to the next step.
Place a 1.5mm wide piece of plastic (or other non-conductive material) on the surface of the touchpad, such that the plastic does not touch the surrounding casing of the touchpad.
- If the touchpad and the plastic is lower than the surrounding casing, press F to fail the test. If the touchpad surface is anywhere, press P to pass.
