Gets a System Center Operations Manager management pack from your Operations Manager environment.

Description

The Get-SCManagementPack cmdlet gets a System Center Operations Manager management pack. This command can also be executed with Get-SCOMManagementPack.

By default, this cmdlet uses the active persistent connection to a management group. Use the SCSession parameter to specify a different persistent connection. You can create a temporary connection to a management group by using the ComputerName and Credential parameters. For more information, type Get-Help about_OpsMgr_Connections.

Examples

1: Get a System Center Operations Manager management pack using its name

PS C:\>Get-SCManagementPack -Name "*Microsoft.Windows.Server*"

Gets a System Center Operations Manager Management Pack using its name with wildcards.

2: Get a System Center Operations Manager management pack using its display name

PS C:\>Get-SCManagementPack -DisplayName "*Windows Server 2016 and above*"

Gets a System Center Operations Manager Management Pack using its display name with wildcards. For more than one display name, you can separate the items with a comma.

3: Get a System Center Operations Manager management pack using its ID

PS C:\>Get-SCManagementPack -Id 25bdd09a-bda3-d94b-b8c1-d450834b5bad

Gets a System Center Operations Manager Management Pack using its ID. For more than one ID, you can separate the items with a comma.

4: Get a System Center Operations Manager management pack using a file

PS C:\>Get-SCManagementPack -ManagementPackFile "${env:ProgramFiles(x86)}\System Center Management Packs\Microsoft System Center MP for WS 2016 and above\Microsoft.Windows.Server.2016.Discovery.mp"

Gets a System Center Operations Manager management pack using a management pack file. For more than one file, you can separate the items with a comma.
