Description

The Set-CMWebApplicationDeploymentType cmdlet changes the settings for a web application deployment type.

Note

Run Configuration Manager cmdlets from the Configuration Manager site drive, for example PS XYZ:\>. For more information, see getting started.

Examples

Example 1: Modify a web application deployment type

PS XYZ:\> Set-CMWebApplicationdeploymentType -ApplicationName "testweb" -DeploymentTypeName "DT1" -NewName "DT1_Updated" -RemoveLanguage "zh-CN" -Comment "Deployment Type updated"

This command changes the name of the web application deployment type named DT1 for the application named testweb to DT1_Updated, and removes Chinese from the array of supported languages.

Example 2: Modify a web application deployment type by using the pipeline

PS XYZ:\> Get-CMDeploymentType -ApplicationName "testweb" -DeploymentTypeName "DT1" | Set-CMWebApplicationdeploymentType -NewName "DT1_Updated" -RemoveLanguage "zh-CN" -Comment "Deployment Type updated"

This command gets the web application deployment type object named DT1 for the application named testweb and uses the pipeline operator to pass the object to Set-CMWebApplicationDeploymentType. Set-CMWebApplicationDeploymentType changes the name of the deployment type to DT1_Updated and removes Chinese from the array of supported languages.

Parameters

Adds an array of languages that this deployment type supports. Provide the languages in the "languagecode2-country" or "languagecode2" format, for example: en, en-US, ja-JP, zh-CN.
