Description

The Add-CMWindowsPhoneDeploymentType cmdlet adds a Windows Phone app package deployment type to an application.

Note

Run Configuration Manager cmdlets from the Configuration Manager site drive, for example PS XYZ:\>. For more information, see getting started.

Examples

Example 1: Add a Windows Phone deployment type by using the pipeline

PS XYZ:\> Get-CMApplication -Name "Application1" | Add-CMWindowsPhoneDeploymentType -DeploymentTypeName "DT3" -ContentLocation "\\Machine\Applications\Xap\Weather.xap" -AddLanguage "en-US","zh-CN" -Comment "New Deployment Type"

This command gets the application object named Application1 and uses the pipeline operator to pass the object to Add-CMWindowsPhoneDeploymentType. Add-CMWindowsPhoneDeploymentType adds a Windows Phone app package deployment type named DT3 from the specified location in English and Chinese.

Example 2: Add a Windows Phone deployment type

PS XYZ:\>Add-CMWindowsPhoneDeploymentType -ApplicationName "Application1" -DeploymentTypeName "DT3" -ContentLocation "\\Machine\Applications\Xap\Weather.xap" -AddLanguage "en-US","zh-CN" -Comment "New Deployment Type"

This command adds the Windows Phone app package deployment type named DT3 from the specified location to the application named Application1 in English and Chinese.

Adds an array of languages that this deployment type supports. Provide the languages in the "languagecode2-country" or "languagecode2" format, for example: en, en-US, ja-JP, zh-CN.
