Business value
Entering data takes time and can lead to errors, especially when users enter record after record during their workday. Autofill with Copilot, introduced in 2025 release wave 1, is an AI-powered assistant that suggests appropriate field values so users can choose to keep them instead of typing. As an AL developer, you can now extend Copilot's autofill capabilities to the fields that matter most to your business, reducing data entry time and errors for end users.

AL developers can subscribe to an event and add custom logic that uses AI or other methods to have Copilot suggest values for a specific field.
