Business value
Project managers can use this feature to manage projects that require inventoried products. They can view on-hand inventory counts at different sites and warehouse locations. With this information, project managers can estimate, procure, and manage the usage of inventoried products on their projects.
Feature details
The experiences for using inventoried products in Project Operations use the Inventory and Warehouse modules of Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management. To accurately estimate the availability of stocked items and their costs, the system uses Pricing and Inventory visibility services. Use the Inventory close process in Supply Chain Management to update the project cost and show accurate consumption of project budgets. Providing all the capabilities needed to manage stocked items on projects takes multiple release waves.
