2025 release wave 2 overview
The 2025 release wave 2 for role-based Copilot offerings brings new innovations that provide you with significant capabilities to transform your business. The release contains new features across Microsoft 365 Copilot for Sales, Microsoft 365 Copilot for Service, and Microsoft 365 Copilot for Finance.
Microsoft 365 Copilot for Sales is evolving into a role-based agent combining Microsoft 365 intelligence with seller-specific insights and automation. In 2025 release wave 2, we’re introducing Sales Agent to automate SDR functions at scale, Sales Chat as the central hub for sales insights, and enhanced meeting and email experiences that deliver context-rich recommendations in Outlook and Teams — helping sellers work smarter, engage strategically, and close deals faster.
Microsoft 365 Copilot for Service supercharges CRM systems like Salesforce and ServiceNow by automating workflows and surfacing trusted knowledge to boost service rep efficiency and customer satisfaction. In 2025 release wave 2, it will expand CRM connectivity and enhance email insights and drafting — all within the tools reps use daily.
Finance agents in Microsoft 365 will introduce powerful updates in 2025 release wave 2 like out-of-the-box solutions built on Microsoft Copilot Studio that are tailored for finance professionals. Easily customizable and launched from familiar tools like Excel, they connect to financial systems, automate tasks like reconciliation, variance analysis, and collections, and report results via email or Teams — boosting efficiency and insight.
