Overview

Microsoft 365 Copilot for Sales is a role-based Copilot agent that combines the power of Microsoft 365 Copilot with seller-specific insights and automated sales workflows. Copilot for Sales helps sellers save time, work more efficiently, and focus on the most important activities. It helps sellers generate innovative ideas, build stronger customer relationships, and close more deals.

In 2025 release wave 2, we focus on the following capabilities:

  • Sales agent: In 2025, Sales Agent transforms top-of-the-funnel activities by automating the sales development representative (SDR) function. Sales organizations can scale with fine-tuned agent teams tailored to specific territories, products, and languages. A robust management portal supports this evolution and offers capabilities to monitor and audit agent performance. It detects patterns such as low response rates or negative sentiment and continuously improves agent behavior through targeted learning and feedback loops.

  • Sales Chat: Sales Chat gives sales reps and managers a single place to handle their key activities. With Sales Chat, you can gain important sales insights and take action on them. It helps you find new opportunities, grow existing accounts, and close deals more effectively. By using shared knowledge about leads, opportunities, and accounts, Sales Chat gives you access to past emails and meetings. This access helps you spot buying signals, find conversation starters, and recognize potential objections. These features give sellers the tools they need to engage more strategically, speed up deal cycles, and improve win rates.

  • Sales meetings and email experiences: Copilot for Sales evolves from assistive functions into transformative, autonomous capabilities that streamline seller workflows and improve deal execution. It delivers context-rich insights directly within Outlook and Teams - the tools sellers already use. Copilot connects data across systems like ServiceNow and SAP to provide a 360-degree customer view. The experience includes intelligent recommendations and automatic updates to CRM systems, reducing manual effort and improving data accuracy. Sellers get strategic insights, such as prior internal interactions with a lead or relevant external news, that help shape more effective meeting agendas and talking points. The solution also captures and logs meeting notes automatically, enhancing pipeline visibility without requiring manual input.
