Project Shortcuts

Everyone's always looking for shortcuts in life so I figured I'd share some of my favorite Project keyboard shortcut commands.  You have to concentrate a bit at first to use them but once you have them down you will save lots of time not having to constantly switch between your keyboard and mouse.

 

Action Keyboard Shortcut
Indent a task ALT + SHIFT + RIGHT ARROW
Outdent a task ALT + SHIFT + LEFT ARROW
Link tasks CTRL + F2
Unlink tasks CTRL + SHIFT + F2
Scroll to Task on Gantt Chart CTRL + SHIFT + F5
Task/Resource Information SHIFT + F2
Scroll the timescale left ALT + LEFT ARROW
Scroll the timescale right ALT + RIGHT ARROW
Insert Row Insert

    Also, if you're working with the schedule on Manual Calculation: To calculate local project: F9 To calculate all open projects: Shift + F9

    btw, those work in 2007 as well... my 2 cents: Expand node: SHIFT+ALT+"+" Collapse node: SHIFT+ALT+"-"
