After reading Jasons post about the Tornado, I was pleasantly surprise to have one turn up to my presentation last night.
Tornado info:
· Windows Mobile 5.0 Smartphone
· 2.2'' QVGA display
· 200MHz OMAP processor
· 64MB of RAM
· 64MB of ROM
· 1.3 megapixel camera
· Bluetooth 1.2
· miniSD memory card slot
· and WiFi module - rumors point to there being two derivatives of the device, one with and one without WiFi
First impressions: it’s a little chunkier than a C500 but about the same dimensions. The keypad appears to be quite a lot better with a nipple replacing the C500 rocker. The device I saw was in a smooth black skin and felt almost as nice as the Motorola MPx200. I didn’t get a chance to try the WiFi, but IMHO that’s going to be the big seller for this one.
And from what I heard, the device is likely to be available from another well known OEM besides QTec.
