Today on the way back from lunch, I had to do a double take as I walked by the building 4 lobby because there were ducks standing at the door, waiting to get in. “There are ducks at the door,” I said to the receptionist, thinking she must have noticed me walking backwards, and would want to know about the ducks. “Yeah, I know,” she said in a somewhat bored tone, without even looking up from what she was doing. And that was it, end of conversation. Maybe this was a duck's idea of an April Fool's joke? Nah, I don't think so, because I've seen these ducks around before; I think they really do want a job. (Same with this guy who hangs out by the fountain and tries to scare me every time I walk to the Building 9 cafe, or maybe that *is* his job!)

They say (or used to say) it was good luck in CA: always get the apartment buildings that have ducks around... maybe they're trying to spread the wealth to offices?Anonymous

Priceless- It is articles like this that makes surfing the web simple enjoyment. :) put a smile on my face.
Oh and the other duck- He is probably trying to tell you to stop and smell the roses or miss something, because normally you are in a hurry. (LoL) where I work it is not ducks but pidegeons....Anonymous

Years ago I worked at a company with ducks in the pond outside the building. Someone actually made up mock badges for the ducks. We still didn't let them in the building though. :-)Anonymous
