In case you missed it, the official name for "Avalon" is Windows Presentation Foundation and the official name for "Indigo" is Windows Communication Foundation. Hmmm. I guess this is the answer for folks that felt the Vista name was too creative and favor more boring but self-explanatory names. At least you should know what the technologies should be used for! I'm not sure whether WPF/WCF or WinPF/WinCF will catch on, but I hope someone gives the official word soon because these names are a mouthful!

I'm thinking people are going to see "Windows Presentation Framework" and think of PowerPoint... (Maybe it has to do with the new "broadcast a presentation" functionality that's in Vista Beta 1?) ;-)Anonymous

People may continue using the terms Avalon/Indigo for a while longer I guess.
Most people still say Longhorn - Vista is still catching up. So the same must apply to Indigo/Avalon :-)Anonymous
