Hi,

Getting the below error when replication is initiated for the first server from Azure Migrate project.

Error:

Unable to connect to vCenter server due to error: System.ServiceModel.CommunicationException: An error occurred while making the HTTP request to https://VCENTER_SERVERNAME. This could be due to the fact that the server certificate is not configured properly with HTTP.SYS in the HTTPS case. This could also be caused by a mismatch of the security binding between the client and the server. ---> System.Net.WebException: The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a send. ---> System.IO.IOException: Unable to read data from the transport connection: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host. ---> System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host

Any idea how to deal with this error, could not get any leads on internet.

Regards,
VJ

    Update:

    Issue got resolved.

Reason for the error: Azure Migrate appliance has been deployed on a vCenter ONE. Discovery was performed. However when replication was initiated for a server SERVER1 in a vCenter TWO, the replication failed.

    Resolution:

A single Azure Migrate appliance can perform discovery for multiple vCenter servers, but for replication - the Azure Migrate appliance should be deployed in the same vCenter server that the server is part of. So a new Azure Migrate Appliance has been setup in vCenter TWO and replication for SERVER1 was initiated which succeeded.
