Access to Pluralsight for Microsoft certification preparation depends on the available benefits and training options being used:
- Visual Studio subscription benefit
- If there is an active Visual Studio subscription, Pluralsight access may be included as a benefit.
- Sign in to the Visual Studio Subscriptions portal and locate the Pluralsight benefit tile.
- If the tile shows an Activate button, follow the activation flow and set a Pluralsight password. After activation, the tile will show remaining time and a button (white arrow in blue circle) that opens Pluralsight for ongoing access.
- If the tile shows 0 days remaining, the included Pluralsight benefit has expired and the link to Pluralsight will no longer be available.
- Pluralsight subscription or trial
- If there is no Visual Studio subscription benefit or it has expired, Pluralsight access requires a separate subscription or free trial directly from Pluralsight.
- Alternative Microsoft Learn options for hands-on prep
- For Azure and other Microsoft certifications, free self-paced training and hands-on labs are available on Microsoft Learn without needing Pluralsight. Many Azure learning paths include browser-based interactive labs using a free sandbox, so an Azure subscription is not required for most exercises.
- For some Azure role-based certifications, there is also free online content from Pluralsight aligned to Microsoft exam blueprints, but access still depends on having a valid Pluralsight subscription or benefit.
If Visual Studio subscription access is expected but the Pluralsight tile or activation is not working, Visual Studio Subscriptions Support should be contacted for subscription/benefit issues, and Pluralsight Help Center should be used for issues with the Pluralsight site or courses.
