As per the latest documentation, Spark 3.4 is already in the end-of-support phase (EOSA) and is no longer supported as of Q1 2026.
At this stage:
- Existing Spark 3.4 pools may still run temporarily
- But no support, fixes, or guarantees are provided
- The runtime can be fully retired at any time
There is no exact timeline published for when it will stop working completely, so we recommend upgrading to Spark 3.5 as soon as possible to avoid any disruption.
Since in-place upgrade isn’t supported, you’ll need to create a new Spark 3.5 pool and migrate your workloads.
