Windows 10 Authentication Error

Windows activation error persists after PC formatting. I bought it with a digital license, so I can't connect to the server when I try to connect. (Probably out of reach after support for Windows 10)

Even if the service support for Windows 10 is over, shouldn't we be able to authenticate it?

(It used to be possible to check on my device if I logged in with my ID, but now I can't even check my device. - please refer to the attachment.)

Installation ID : [Removed PII]

I want you to send me the product key.

    Hello,

How did you obtain your license initially?

Did it come with the device preinstalled, or did you purchase it?

If you purchased it, did you purchase from Microsoft, or from third party?

Just to make sure, is motherboard changed?

Windows 10 activation servers are still available. End of support in October 2025 affects updates and security fixes, not the ability to activate an existing, valid Windows 10 license.

However, a digital license or product key cannot be generated or sent based on an Installation ID. Product keys are unique, confidential, and are not derivable from activation IDs.

    To resolve the activation issue:

    1. Confirm Windows 10 version
      • On the PC, open the search box and type winver.
      • Ensure the device is running Windows 10, version 1607 or later. If not, update Windows first using Windows Update.
    2. Run the Activation troubleshooter
      • Select Start > Settings > Update & Security > Activation.
      • Select Troubleshoot.
      • If prompted, choose the option related to hardware change or activation problems and follow the on-screen steps.
    3. Check for hardware-change or license errors
      • If you see errors like 0x803F7001, 0xC004F211, or 0xC004F213, this usually means Windows cannot find a matching license for the current hardware.
      • If Windows 10 was preinstalled (OEM) and the motherboard was replaced, a new license may be required. In that case, go to Start > Settings > Update & Security > Activation > Go to Microsoft Store and purchase a new Windows license.
      • If you have a product key from a previous purchase, select Change product key on the same Activation page and enter that key.
    4. Use the hardware-change exception path (if applicable)
      • Sign in with the same Microsoft account that was used when Windows 10 was previously activated.
      • Go to Start > Settings > Update & Security > Activation > Troubleshoot.
      • If the troubleshooter offers a link such as reactivate after a hardware change, select it and follow the steps to transfer the digital license.
    5. If activation still fails
      • If the Activation troubleshooter cannot find a license and there is no product key available, direct contact with Microsoft support is required. Support can check the account and license status and, in some cases, reactivate the license, as shown in similar cases.
      • If Microsoft support confirms no valid transferable license is associated with the account or device, a new Windows 10/11 license must be purchased.

A product key cannot be provided from the Installation ID. Only Microsoft support, after validating purchase and license status, can assist with reactivation or advise if a new license is required.
