When I'm recording my screen with clip champ the video quality is horrible. We can't even read the text. I got a 4k monitor plugged to a macbook pro

Clipchamp exports screen recordings as MP4 at a chosen resolution; if the export resolution is low compared to a 4K display, text will look blurry or unreadable.

To improve quality, ensure the project is exported at a higher resolution:

    1. After finishing the recording/editing, select the Export button in Clipchamp.
    2. In the resolution options, choose at least 1080p (HD) or, if available for the account, 4K (UHD).
      • 1080p is suitable for streaming and presentations.
      • 4K is the best option when working with 4K media or a 4K display.
    3. Export the video and review the result.

If the account is on the free tier and 4K is not available, 1080p is the highest free resolution and will give much clearer text than 480p or 720p.

Also note that higher resolutions and longer recordings will take longer to export.
