I received an email regarding Azure: Activated Severity: 2 invoice Is this real and what do I need to do or is it a scam

I received this as well and it appears to be from a valid Microsoft email address

I also got the email - two, in fact - one was "activated security" and the other "deactivated" - confusing because in both emails it advises calling the MS fraud protection phone # - which I can't verify when I try to search it. I can't go any further so I'm assuming the "deactivated" message, which came a few minutes after the first one, means that all is well??
Would be nice if MS could verify whether something triggered these today, as the messages do appear to be legitimately from them.

I got the same thing starting 8:55 & deactivated 9:02. What do I do?

It's a scam. I just got one as well. Do not respond to this.

How do you know it's a scam? The address it came from is legitimate. I also thought it was a scam but I'm not sure.
I forwarded my suspicious emails to scam@microsoft.com and phishing@microsoft.com.

Your suggestion is good, but those are not valid email addresses for reporting to Microsoft. The only valid email address for this purpose is reportphishing@microsoft.com.
