Work Account Sign in Issues

I had (past tense) a business account and a personal account. They were both MINE. I do not remember the passcode for the business account and cannot reset it because the email address has been deleted and shut down.

Microsoft continues to try to get me to sign into business account and without the old email address I can't shut it down and get it to stop trying to get me to sign into it. What do I have to do to be able to get in and delete the account. It keeps telling me to contact my administrator. I was the administrator.

Thankd

    Dear Mike Lo Vuolo,

To stop the prompts immediately, you need to remove the account reference from the Windows Settings. Open your Start menu and type "Access work or school," then press Enter to open that specific settings page (located at Settings > Accounts > Access work or school). You should see the old business account listed there. Click on it and select the "Disconnect" button. Confirm the prompt to remove the account from the device. This action deletes the local cache and stops Windows from attempting to authenticate with that identity. If you continue to see prompts specifically inside Office applications like Word or Excel after doing this, you may also need to check "Control Panel > User Accounts > Credential Manager," select "Windows Credentials," and remove any entries referencing the old email address, but the "Access work or school" disconnect is usually the definitive fix for this behavior.

I hope you've found something useful here. If it helps you get more insight into the issue, it's appreciated to accept the answer. Should you have more questions, feel free to leave a message. Have a nice day!
