Since purchasing a new Lenova Slim 7X laptop with windows 11 and snapdragon, I have had numerous problems with drivers. I hire a Sharp MX-3640 photocopier printer and Snapdragon keeps blocking it. I recently had to send my new laptop back for repair and it came back wiped and probably with a new version of snapdragon, so once again it will only print a basic version of the driver, it will not allow me to install the driver I need to print color and double sided

    Hello,

The issue you're encountering is often due to the new processor architecture in these advanced laptops requiring a specific installation method for some drivers. Let's try a compatibility mode installation, which is a highly effective solution for this scenario. Please follow these steps carefully:

    1.     First, navigate to the official Sharp support website and download the latest Windows 10/11 driver for your MX-3640 model.

    2.     Once the download is complete, find the installer file (it's likely named setup.exe or something similar), but do not run it yet.

    3.     Right-click on the installer file and select Properties from the dropdown menu.

    4.     In the Properties window, click on the Compatibility tab.

    5.     Check the box that says, "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and choose Windows 10 from the list.

    6.     Next, check the box at the bottom labeled "Run this program as an administrator."

    7.     Click Apply, then OK to save the changes.

    8.     Finally, double-click the installer file to run it. The installation should now proceed and give you access to all the features like color and double-sided printing.

This process allows Windows to properly manage the driver installation on the new hardware. Please let me know if this works for you or if you require further assistance.
