Windows 11 Snipping Tool Not Opening Snippets for Editing

I've just used Windows 11 Snipping Tool to take a screenshot of part of a page online.

The snippet does not open in another screen so I cannot edit it, but saves automatically to the Screenshots folder as a .png file.

I have checked and unchecked various settings withing the Snipping Tool.

I have also used Repair, Reset and Uninstall the app via Systems. I've checked for updates too.

I don't know if it makes any difference, I recently upgraded my pc from Windows 10 to Windows 11.

Can anyone help me resolve this?

    Hi,

I'm Sumit, here to help with your query on the Microsoft Q&A forums.

Apologies for any inconvenience you are experiencing. I am happy to help you today.

It opens fine here. I think this might have to do with Onedrive.

Please click the cloud icon and choose gear icon > Settings.

On the Sync and backup tab, can you tell me if the Save screenshots option is ON?

Thank you. I suppose you use Onedrive? It is the cloud icon on the Bottom right.

Perfect. Can you share me a screenshot of the Snipping Tool Settings using 3 dots menu?

Yes, the Settings look OK. Let us Reset the app.

    In the Windows search,

Type Powershell, right-click it, and choose Run as Administrator.

    Execute this command:

    Get-AppxPackage *Microsoft.ScreenSketch* | Reset-AppxPackage

Let me know if there is any change in the behaviour after restarting.

I look forward to your response and am eager to collaborate until we find a solution.
