Hello Microsoft Support,

We have successfully deployed the "Adobe Acrobat for Microsoft 365" app via the Integrated Apps section of the Microsoft 365 Admin Center and assigned it to the entire organization.

However, the Adobe Acrobat PDF viewer is not appearing as an option when opening PDF files from OneDrive or SharePoint. We followed the setup instructions, including:

  • Installing the app from the Integrated Apps tab

Assigning it to all users

Verifying that the app is listed as “OK” and active

Waiting more than 72 hours for propagation

Attempting to configure SharePoint tenant settings to disable legacy PDF rendering (though DisableLegacyPdfRendering is not available in our current PowerShell module version)

We have verified that:

We are global admins for the tenant

All other related Microsoft 365 and SharePoint settings are correctly configured

No conflicting third-party PDF integrations are deployed

Users are accessing PDFs directly through SharePoint and OneDrive using modern browsers

    Hi @John Jiang,
    Welcome to Q&A Forum.

Regarding your question about PDF Intergration in OneDrive where you have done all the right steps and the viewer still doesn’t appear, let me provide you some additional fixes for you to try:

If deployment via the Microsoft 365 Admin Center doesn’t activate the viewer within 48–72 hours, Adobe recommends reinstalling the app from their Document Cloud integrations page

    • Select Install & Configure under SharePoint/OneDrive.
    • Accept all permissions and complete the deployment steps.
    • Note: Due to Microsoft’s caching infrastructure, it may take up to 48 hours to reflect changes.

Ensure that modern browsers (Edge, Chrome, Firefox) are configured to allow external PDF viewers. Adobe provides a browser configuration guide to help with this

When accessing SharePoint or OneDrive, make sure users select “Keep Me Signed In” during login. This setting is crucial for Adobe integrations to persist across sessions

Confirm that users have the necessary permissions to access the SharePoint libraries. If access is denied or files don’t load, try truncating the URL to the base site/library to verify access

Troubleshooting SharePoint and Office 365 integration with Acrobat

If the issue persists after reinstalling and verifying browser and sign-in settings, I recommend contacting Microsoft Support with the updated deployment details and referencing the Adobe troubleshooting guide. You may also want to include screenshots or logs showing the missing viewer option.

You can do so via Teams by navigating through Settings > Feedback > Report a problem

    User's image

Additionally, your company’s Global Admins have reported the issue in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center via Service Health, as shown in the screenshot below.
