How do I add a NEW PRESENTATION to this "bar"?

I have NO IDEA how the Blank_11x17 presentation was added...though that is definitely my file, so I would also like to "edit" this presentation, or delete it from the bar.

    Hi @Joe Blow

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

I understand that you're trying to add a new custom presentation template to the template bar and edit or remove the existing “Blank_11x17” template from that section.

To Add a New Presentation to the Template Bar

Save your desired presentation as a PowerPoint Template:

    • Go to File => Save As, choose PowerPoint Template (.potx) as the file type and save it in: Documents\Custom Office Templates or %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Template

To pin it in New Prestentation bar, open the saved template, then go to New => Personal, and click Pin to List to make it appear in the “New” section.

    • Untitled

    To Edit the “Blank_11x17” Template

    1. Locate the .potx file in one of the folders above.
    2. Open it in PowerPoint, make your changes, and Save it as a template.

To Remove the Template from the Bar

    • Right-click the “Blank_11x17” thumbnail in the Start screen and choose Unpin from list.
Or: navigating to New => Personal => Click Unpin from list
    • Alternatively, delete or move the .potx file from the template folder.
      Untitled
