I need to disable "one drive files on demand" but when I click on "Download all files" a folder window opens.

As per Note: Starting with OneDrive build 23.066 Files On-Demand is enabled by default for all users. Found in https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/save-disk-space-with-onedrive-files-on-demand-for-windows-0e6860d3-d9f3-4971-b321-7092438fb38e

Go to settings, system, storage, storage sense, and it off. It should stop. If not, open OneDrive from your taskbar, go to settings and storage, then uncheck files on demand.

Tell me if you need more help if these corrections don’t solve the problem.

Hello Nicholas. To disable OneDrive Files On-Demand - which is enabled by default starting with OneDrive build 23.066 - you will need to change your OneDrive settings manually. Files On-Demand allows your files to show up in File Explorer without it taking up any disk space until it is accessed. In my experience, this has caused compatibility issues or sometimes availability delays when a user is accessing files offline.

    To disable it:

Click the OneDrive cloud icon in your taskbar.

Select the settings gear icon > Settings.

In the Settings tab, Uncheck the box entitled: Save space and download files as you use them.

After dismissing the warning prompt, select OK.

Your files will now download from OneDrive to your device and the on-demand behavior will be disabled. If you click “Download all files” and it simply opens a folder window without downloading, it is likely to due to this setting still being set to on.

    Best regafcx,

hello and thanks for input but my settings are different. When I click on "Download all files" it just asks me to confirm selection and then opens my personal folder file. Is not what the instructions in the link describe.
