video uses hdmi but sound doesn't

I am unable to get sound through hdmi. It only uses the pd speakers

    Hi! Sorry to hear that you have troubles with this, please try the next steps:

    1. Right-click the speaker icon in your taskbar > Sound settings.
    2. Under Output, look for your HDMI device, it might show as your monitor or TV name, or “Digital Audio (HDMI)”.
    3. Select it, then test the sound.
    4. If it’s not listed, right-click in the Sound control panel’s Playback tab > enable Show Disabled Devices, then enable it.

    If this doesn't work, please unplug HDMI from the PC, plug it back in, wait a few seconds for Windows to detect it, select it again in Output devices. You can also try a different cable and connect the PC to a different screen to discard hardware issues.
