build pipeline email not showing source code commit history when I have pipeline in one repo and Source code in one repo under same project.

If your YAML/classic build is stored in Repo A but you never check out Repo B, Azure DevOps has no commit metadata for the build.

Add an explicit checkout for Repo B in your pipeline:

resources:
  repositories:
    - repository: sourceRepo
      type: git
      name: MyProject/RepoB   # Change to your repo path
      ref: main
steps:
- checkout: self        # Repo A (pipeline repo)
- checkout: sourceRepo  # Repo B (source code)
