Hi All,

I am using an Azure VM of Standard E2s v3 (2 vCPUs, 16 GB memory) and have installed MS SQL Server on it, along with two other analytical applications. I am experiencing high CPU utilization. I have the developer support plan but unable to create the support request. Also, tried to scale the CPU, but unable to see any option. Could you please guide me on how to resolve the issue?

And verify if SQL Server is the source of the high CPU usage. Identify the specific queries contributing to the load, update statistics, and consider optimizing those queries or adjusting resource allocation as needed.

Rewrite inefficient queries to reduce CPU load and consider adding indexes to speed up query execution.

Upgrade to a larger VM, like Standard E4s v3 (4 vCPUs, 32 GB memory), consider VM types like B-series and use Azure Monitor and Log Analytics to get detailed performance metrics.

Thanks for the response. I am getting size not supported for Spot option for B series.

Azure B-series VMs are not supported for Spot pricing. Consider using Standard D2s v3 or E2s v3 are commonly used with Spot pricing.
