Hello, Ever since about.. May 25th or so my connection has just been generally worse. I'm at a loss for what to do. It started with my USB Wifi adapter just disconnecting at random intervals and such, going to about two bars of signal and disconnecting often. At first i thought it might've just been the adapter so I bought a new one just to yield the same results. I then bought and installed a pcie wifi card just to get about two bars and constant jumps to about 200 or 500 ping. I'm tired and stressed. I've tested my laptop, the adapter doesn't disconnect and the wifi is strong. So what the hell? I Installed all latest drivers, I dont know what to do anymore. I've reset my network and it still is giving me the same ping.

    Hi,

I understand that you have an issue with your connection. It often disconnected, and the connection was slow. Several possibilities can cause this.

Please follow the steps below. If these steps do not help, proceed to the next step.

*Can you check if your windows and driver are updated? There is a possibility that you had this issue due to the system not being updated.

    • Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update, and then select Check for updates.

*Run an anti-virus and see if there is Malware on your device

    *Enable WWAN and WLAN services.

    • Press Win key + R > type in services.msc > click OK > Look for WLAN Autoconfig and WWAN Autoconfig > Right-Click Properties and set it to automatic (If it's already set to automatic, right-click, then click sto,p then start it again) > Restart PC and check.

*If the issue persists, run the following command in Command Prompt (Admin). Follow the steps below to do so.

    • Press Windows Key + X.
    • Click on Command Prompt (Admin).
    • Type the following commands, and hit Enter after each command:
netsh int tcp set heuristics disabled
netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled
netsh int tcp set global rss=enabled
netsh winsock reset and press Enter
netsh int ip reset and press Enter
    ipconfig /release and press Enter
    ipconfig /renew and press Enter
    ipconfig /flushdns and press Enter

    • After all has been processed, restart your device

*Perform sfc and run the DISM command.

    *Please perform a clean boot.

*Please try to update or reinstall your network adapter. Please follow the first answer on the thread below.
