As of https://blog.jim-nielsen.com/2025/href-value-possibilities/, it should be possible to deep link into pdf documents, and e.g. open a specific page. Yet, this does not seem to work on edge.

Is this intentional? Is there a workaround ? Or is it possible to deep-link by bookmark ?

Hi, Michael! Thanks for reaching out! Edge supports deep linking with #page=number if you open the PDF from a link. Changing the page number in the address bar after the file is open will not reload to that page. Bookmarks in PDFs work only if built into the file and accessed through the PDF’s own panel. By the way, does this need to work when typing in the address bar or only when clicking a link?

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

    Regards,

    Arlene D.

So it seems to be working on clicking it, but not when changing the url in the browser bar (but that might be due to some other unrelated problem).

This might help for documentation, so let's keep it .
