okay so i just recently bought the pc game pass which has minecraft included. it says i can play it on the microsoft store when im signed in with the account i used to purchase the gamepass on, but when i open the launcher, it says "Do you own this game or app? Verify your signed in with an active subscription or with the accountt hat owns the game. If you cant access this content and have a valid subscription, the game may have left the game pass catalog. otherwise purchase the game from the xbox app if you dont own it." with all this being said, minecraft is still in the game pass catalog, and i do have a valid subscription. pls help

    Dear Yvvg Yg

Thanks for reaching out! Welcome to Microsoft Q&A. I'm Haien from Microsoft Q&A.

I understand you recently purchased PC Game Pass, which includes Minecraft. That must be frustrating.

From that situation, I highly recommend you to try these workaround:

Step 1: Verify account and sign-in

    • Open the Microsoft Store > click your profile icon (top right) > ensure you’re signed in with the account that bought the Game Pass.
    • Open the Xbox app > sign out, and sign back in with the same account > launch Minecraft from the Xbox app to check if it recognizes the subscription

Step 2: Repair the Xbox and Microsoft Store Apps

    • Go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
    • Find the "Xbox" app in the list > click the three dots next to it > select  "Advanced options." > Scroll down to the "Reset" section > Click "Repair."
    • Settings > Windows Update > "Check for updates" > Install any available updates.
    • Restart your PC and try to launch Minecraft again.

Step 3: Check subscription and contact support

If you've already tried these steps and are still encountering issues, please reply to this thread with the requested details so we can investigate further and ensure your subscription is activated properly. Also, please keep me updated with anything new that you were try to each option.
