Teams threads layout missing suddenly.

We have Standard Business MS360.

A few channels were created in the "thread" layout since late July/2025.

Up to 8/8/25, the layout was still in "threads".

Yet, when I logged in on 8/10/25, I noticed a note on top of a channel stating "Some people in this channel have a different view from you. Some Messages may appear out of order and disconnected from a thread. This may impact notifications. Learn more." with a hyperlink to a PDF doc stating the Threads-lay-out is not available for us.

Indeed, the channel was not in the thread layout and the layout setting could not be found.

It is very confusing as the threads layout was available for me when I created the channel back in late July.

And, what I am also baffled as why some people in the channel would have different view from me?

    Dear @Akilah,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Forum!

Following my recent investigation and testing within our environment, I’d like to inform you that the Threads layout in Microsoft Teams channels is currently in a rolling out phase and has not yet been officially launched across all tenants.

According to Microsoft’s roadmap, this feature was added on May 20, 2025, with rollout beginning in June 2025. It is being gradually deployed across platforms including Android, Desktop, iOS, Mac, and Web. The current status is marked as “Rolling out”, which means some users may have early access as part of a preview or test release. To check for upcoming features you can check Microsoft 365 Roadmap | Microsoft 365

This explains why some users in the same channel may see different layouts or receive a message stating:

“Some people have different view. Messages may appear out of order or disconnected from thread. This may impact notifications.”

We will continue to monitor the rollout and provide updates as soon as Microsoft confirms full availability.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need further clarification.

Your understanding and co-operation are highly appreciated. Thank you for your precious time. Have a nice day!

Jade, Thank you for taking the time to share.

Yet, I am still a bit confused as:

1.) Why I had the threads layout before - and all of a sudden I don't?

2.) If the rollout started in June/2025 and MS has been applying gradually - wouldn't it be reasonable to assume the same accounts (or the accounts which purchased at the same time would have the same features?

3.) When I first created the channel in Threads layout, the notification of different user might have different layout was not there - is there a reason why? Last but not least, when can we expect to have the completed rollout for the Threads layout?

Our entire company recently rolled out the business version of MS and it is critical for us to have the updated info as we need to conduct internal training for MS system.
