Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.
Just to confirm, are you able to see the ink levels physically through the tank windows?
- If your black tank really is low, you might need to reset the ink levels manually from the printer’s control panel or the Epson software on your PC.
- Epson has a built-in “Reset Ink Levels” or “Refill Ink” option that tells the printer you’ve refilled the tanks.
If the printer still refuses, it could be a sensor issue. In that case, you might need to temporarily run the printer in maintenance mode or contact Epson again with that detail so they can guide you through a reset.
Should you need further information please let me know.
