So just to be clear, we can continue to use Azure CDN for another year and then we will need to migrate to Azure Front Door Standard or Premium? We won't be adding any new domains or profiles.

Azure Front Door

    Hello Maya Crawford
I understand that you are inquiring about the timeline for migrating from Azure CDN to Azure Front Door.

The Azure CDN classic profile is being retiring, starting August 15, 2025, Azure CDN Classic will no longer allow new domain onboarding or the creation of new profiles. If you are looking to use the CDN profile you can use up to

There will not be any immediate service interruptions for current configurations. If you are using managed certificates, the existing certificate will automatically renew before August 15, 2025, and will remain valid until April 14, 2026.

Additionally, if you plan to use a BYOC certificate for your existing domains, please try to complete the move before August 15, 2025. After that date, you will not be able to make the switch.

If you are not planning to onboard new domains or profiles, you can continue using the service without interruption, as Microsoft will renew the managed certificates with 12 months validity. However, if you are using a BYOC certificate, you will need to renew it yourself.
