Hi,

My PC runs on Windows 10 Pro Build 10240. I downloaded an ISO file from the Microsoft website to update it to Windows 10 22H2. However, i tried to run the setup and kept getting the prompt that the software can't tell if my PC is ready to continue installing windows 10. I have tried rebooting and uninstalling some apps but nothing is working. Can you tell me why this is happening please and what I can do about it? I would be expecting your response🤗

    Hi Evioghene,

Windows 10 OS Build 10240 was released ten years ago. To upgrade to build 19045 (i.e., version 22H2), you'll need to go through several feature updates to reach the latest version. Instead, backup your data to an external drive and cleanly install 22H2 using a USB setup disk.

    Please do the following:

    1. Open Disk Management and maximize it. Adjust the column widths in the top pane to make all the entries visible. Post a screenshot.
    2. Run msinfo32.exe, and click System Summary. Resize the columns in the right pane to make the entries visible, and post a screenshot.

    Please supply the following Information.

Right-click the Start button and Choose the Run option

    Type in msinfo32

    Press enter.

Take a screenshot of the System Summary window and post it in the next reply.

    #2:

The Panther logs. Files named Setupact.log and Setuperr.log from the following path:

    C:$Windows.~BT\Sources\Panther

Please upload the files on a file-sharing website like https://onedrive.com and share the link in the next response.

As the log size might be large consider zipping everything before uploading.

I look forward to your response and am eager to collaborate until we find a solution.
