Issue with Text Insertion in Microsoft Word Web on Xiaomi Pad 7

Please try witching off desktop site mode it often improves compatibility. Also, clear your browser cache or try a different browser to see if that helps. If it keeps happening, using the Word app instead of the web version might give you a smoother experience on the tablet.

If I switch off desktop site mode then how can I add new text to my word file, also has tried with other browser the problem is same, in word web only. When I am adding text to word web file in my laptop on edge it's work fine but not in my android tablet. It's performance inconsistency. Please look into it.

But I am not getting I can add new text in Word web in laptop but not in android tablet. There is a limitation but on most basic feature and other feature like correcting spelling, adding and rescaling images working fine in tablet. Why only the main basic need has this problem. Then in tablet create new file option should also be not there since we can not add text in it.

I get why this is so frustrating being able to do everything except the main thing adding text doesn’t make sense. Unfortunately, Word Web on some Android tablets has known quirks like this due to how touch input interacts with the browser version. Microsoft’s Word app on tablets is built to handle these basics much better, so it’s really the best option if you want smooth editing. I know it’s not ideal if you prefer the web version, but until the web app improves, the app is your safest bet for full functionality.
