The keyboard backlight is not controlled by Windows, it is a manufacturers function, if the F8 key is not working for you, open the pre-installed MSI Center app, are you able to customize the keyboard lighting from inside that app.

Hello everyone,
My laptop is MSI alpha 15 b5eek. I observed, that my keyboard has only one colour of lightning, which i cant turn off or switch the light to another colour. However, it seems that my laptop can't find any devices which provides keyboard backlight.
By the way, pressing FN + F8 combination does not do anything at all, even my backlight does not turning off
