Hi Ryan Steinke,
What You Can Try to Get Your Laptop Working Again
1. Do a Full Power Reset
Unplug the charger.
Hold down the power button for about 30 seconds.
Let go, plug the charger back in, and try turning it on again.
2. Try a Special Restart (for Surface Devices)
If you're using a Surface Laptop:
Hold down Power + Volume Up together for 15 seconds.
Let go and wait about 10 seconds.
Press the power button again to see if it starts normally.
3. Check the Charger Light
Is the light steady or blinking?
Try a different outlet or charger if you have one.
If the battery was really low, leave it plugged in for 30 minutes before trying again.
4. Try Getting Into the Settings Screen (UEFI)
Hold Volume Up and press Power (keep holding Volume Up).
If a settings screen appears, that’s a good sign it means the hardware is okay.
5. Force Windows to Show Recovery Options
Turn it on, then force it off when the Windows logo shows up (hold power until it shuts off).
Do this three times.
On the fourth try, Windows should show a recovery screen with options to fix startup problems.
Choose Advanced Options > Startup Repair or Safe Mode.
