i am not sure how to uninstall and then reinstall.
Should i try reinstalling the office as a complete or only excel?
The best first option would be to perform a full repair of your Office installation.
Open the Settings App (gear icon on your Start Menu)
Go to Apps, then scroll down to find Microsoft Office
Select that and choose Modify - Online Repair.
That should fix any issues with your Office Installation.
Thanks Dave, but the modify button is unavailable to be selected.
In that case, the best option is to uninstall Office, restart your PC, then go to your Microsoft account online and re-install Office from there.
