Try to reset the Edge settings and see if the problem persists.
Click on the 3 dots in the upper right corner.
Click Settings > Reset settings > Reset Settings to their default values.
I am not able to change the background on me new tab in edge.

I am new to Edge, as I've always used Google Chrome before. Whenever I try to change my new tab wallpaper and click on the edit wallpaper option, it keeps going back to the home page without taking any action.
