    Hi michael powers,

Is your printer running fine now? I hope it stops wasting your paper and ink on the random pieces! Any update on the situation or accepting the answer would help! Thank you!

    Hi michael powers,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A!

I'm sorry that you are getting random printing of GET /DevMgmt/ProductStatusDyn.xml HTTP/1.1, which I understand can be confusing and wasteful. This is an issue that has previously been reported by HP printer users, believed to be typically caused by network communication or software behavior as you can see from these threads:

1 - Disable Web Services on the HP Printer

    • Access the printer’s Control Panel > Settings
    • Navigate to Web Services or Network Setup > Disable HP Web Services > OFF
    • If no menu option exists > Settings > Restore Defaults > Reset Network Settings.

    2 - Uninstall/Disable broken softwares

Some users found that uninstalling different softwares could resolve their issue. So if the first option doesn't work, you can check out these (restart your PC and see if the issue persists after each step. If it works, skip the others):

    • Open Settings > Apps > Installed Apps > Uninstall HP Smart
    • Open Task Scheduler > Locate PrintScanDoctor > Right-click > Disable
    • Press Win + R > type services.msc > Enter > Stop Universal Print
      • Set Startup type to Disabled (Optional)

3 - Update or reinstall printer drivers

    • Uninstall the current driver via Device Manager
    • Visit HP Support and download the latest driver for your printer model
    • Install the new driver and restart your PC

Let us know if you'd like help walking through any of these steps! Please understand that the first answer doesn't always resolve the issue, but we can cooperate to make it happen. Thanks for your time!
