In Win 10 device manager, I show a question mark by Other Devices - MTP USB device.
It shows no driver and when I try to update it the message says " A service installation in this INF is invalid."
Suggestions please?

Well, this driver usually appears when you connect a smartphone. You can check it by changing the default selection to MTP or File Transfer on your smartphone and testing it on a different USB port.
MTP devices usually have a standard .inf file; you can install a driver using the previous post.
Test another USB port and connect your smartphone, then change the way you use it.
