My 2022 SQL Server will not install

I have tried nearly everything that I can think of to make it work, but it refuses to install. The attached files are from an attempt at using the Developer option to download.

Erland Sommarskog 124.2K Reputation points MVP Volunteer Moderator2025-08-08T19:23:37.5066667+00:00 In the folder C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\160\Setup Bootstrap\Log, you find one folder per installation attempt. The files of most interest are summary.txt and details.txt. And I guess in this case also any file with "browser" in the name. Feel free to attach them here, and we will see what we can do. (But don't hope to much, these situations can be difficult to sort out.)

2025-08-11T20:36:03.2233333+00:00 Hm, this is sort of interesting. It seems that it is looking for C:\SQL2025\CTP2.1\Evaluation_ENU\1033_ENU_LP\x64\setup\SQLBROWSER.MSI. Did you at some point try to install SQL 2025 CTP 2.1? Did that succeed? Judging from your summary file, you don't seem to have any SQL 2025 instance.
